Partner FAQs
FrequentlyaskedquestionsforApolloLeasingpartnercontractors.
You'll need to go through our partner application and vetting process, which includes verifying licensing, insurance, experience, and agreeing to our partnership terms, including the use of specified equipment. Contact the Apollo Partner Management team for details.
Maintaining required licenses and insurance, adhering strictly to the Apollo/3PLX workflow, using only approved components, meeting installation quality standards, and ensuring timely communication and permit closure are essential.
You will use the dedicated Partner Online Form on the Apollo Leasing website. You'll input required customer information (name, address, email, phone), their annual kWh consumption, and the system specifications (modules, capacity, batteries, inverters) based on approved components.
No. To ensure consistency for procurement, performance, warranty, tax credit calculations, and pricing, all Apollo Leasing projects must use the pre-approved and specified components (modules, integrated inverters/batteries, smart hub).
Apollo's system validates the data, checks requirements, and automatically sends a unique link directly to the customer via text message and email.
Yes. The link directs the customer to a secure portal where they complete the financing application and electronically sign the generated lease agreement. Your role is to input the initial data; the customer handles the financial and contractual sign-off.
They will see the system details you entered, the estimated lease payments, the Year 6 payoff amount, and then proceed to the financing application and lease agreement review/signing.
Apollo's system automatically sends a Project Initiation Request to 3PLX, containing all customer and system details and the signed lease.
3PLX assigns the partner. If you originated the project (Path B), you will be assigned as the installation partner. If the customer came through "Solar Self Checkout" (Path A), 3PLX assigns a qualified partner from the network based on location, availability, etc.
After partner assignment, an Apollo representative must call the customer to confirm they understand the lease terms, answer questions, and confirm the assigned installation partner. This happens before the Notice to Proceed (NTP).
You will receive the NTP from 3PLX after the customer verification call is successfully completed. The NTP authorizes you to begin work and specifies the exact components.
You, the assigned Partner Contractor, perform the initial site inspection after receiving the NTP. You then notify 3PLX upon completion.
Your engineering team completes the detailed system design and creates the permit-ready plans. You are responsible for updating the project status when engineering is complete.
An automated alert is triggered on Day 4, and a task is assigned to you to follow up with your engineering team to avoid delays.
You, the assigned Partner Contractor, are responsible for applying for all necessary permits (municipal, HOA, etc.).
3PLX orders all specified equipment (panels, inverters, batteries, smart hub, BOS) from approved distributors and arranges delivery to the job site. You do not order the primary equipment.
3PLX dispatches an independent inspector after you pass the final municipal inspection. They verify that the exact number and model of panels, inverters, batteries, and the smart hub specified in the NTP were installed. This is critical for Apollo's ITC compliance and payment processing.
No, based on the final workflow, the 3PLX verification inspection occurs after the final municipal inspection but before PTO application proceeds fully. (The earlier "Pre-Final Audit" step was removed in the final workflow).
You, the assigned Partner Contractor, apply for PTO with the utility company after passing final inspection and the 3PLX verification inspection.
If required by the utility, 3PLX will provide you with the necessary liability certificate to include with your PTO application.
You, the assigned Partner Contractor, return to the customer's site to perform the final system activation (connecting to grid, configuring inverter/monitoring).
Your payment is triggered when you notify 3PLX that the system has been successfully activated.
3PLX pays you directly for the installation labor, based on your contract pricing with 3PLX/Apollo. Apollo pays 3PLX for the overall project.
3PLX pays the distributor directly for the materials they ordered. This cost is not directly handled by you.
3PLX performs a post-activation inspection (mainly remote monitoring) and checks for any open permits (e.g., structural, electrical).
3PLX will notify you. You are responsible for closing all open permits within 30 days of notification.
Failure to close permits timely may result in payment delays from 3PLX for ongoing or future projects.
Apollo Leasing, through its designated service partner (which may be 3PLX or another entity like HAN SOLAR LLC as mentioned in the sample lease addendum), is responsible for maintenance and repairs covered under the warranty. The customer initiates claims with Apollo.
Apollo provides a comprehensive System Warranty for the entire lease term, a 10-year Roof Warranty for penetrations, and a Repair Promise (covering parts and labor for defects). Manufacturer warranties also apply. (Refer to Lease Section 7).
Your installation workmanship is key. Apollo warrants penetrations made by its designated contractors for 10 years. Ensure all penetrations are properly sealed according to best practices.
The customer should contact Apollo Leasing directly. Apollo (or its service designee like HAN SOLAR) will coordinate any necessary service, potentially dispatching you or another service technician.
No. The UCC-1 fixture filing secures Apollo's interest in the solar equipment itself as personal property, not the real estate. The lease also describes a separate, temporary (5-year) consensual lien specifically on the solar system (not the home) to secure lease payments, which is subordinate to existing mortgages. (Refer to Lease Sections 9, 9.5, 13, 14).
