FAQs

It's a way to get solar panels on your roof without the big upfront cost of buying them. You lease the system from us (Apollo), and you pay a monthly fee for the clean energy it produces. Think of it like renting solar power!

That's right. Apollo owns the system, and we take care of all the maintenance and repairs. You just enjoy the benefits of solar energy.

Leasing is great if you want to avoid a large initial investment, don't want to worry about maintenance, and want predictable monthly energy costs. It's a hassle-free way to go solar.

Apollo Leasing is your partner in going solar. We provide the system and make sure everything runs smoothly. We work with trusted, certified installers (like HAN SOLAR in Florida) to get your system up and running.

The standard lease is 25 years.

You have choices! You can buy the system at its fair market value, have us remove it for free, upgrade to a new system, or, if you do nothing, the lease automatically renews for another 5 years (and can renew a second time). We'll remind you well in advance so you can decide.

Your starting monthly payment will be a fixed amount (like $210.56, for example, but this depends on your specific system). There's a small annual increase (around 2.99%) to account for inflation and rising energy costs. We'll give you a clear payment schedule.

We're upfront about all costs. There's no upfront cost to sign the lease. There are fees for things like late payments (1.5% per month) or if a payment is returned ($25). If you don't maintain internet (required for monitoring), there could be a fee.

We make it easy! Payments are automatically deducted from your bank account each month (ACH).

In many cases, your solar system will cover a significant portion of your electricity needs, leading to a dramatically lower utility bill. However, the amount of your bill will still depend on how much grid electricity you still use.

We use high-quality panels from reputable manufacturers approved by Apollo. The exact system size and components will be tailored to your home's energy needs.

Absolutely! Our certified installers handle the entire process, from design and permits to installation and cleanup. We'll keep you informed every step of the way.

Don't worry! Apollo is responsible for all maintenance and repairs throughout the lease. Our comprehensive warranty covers defects, and we'll fix any issues at no cost to you.

We guarantee the system will operate within the manufacturer's specifications. We provide estimates of how much energy your system will produce, and we monitor its performance to ensure it's working optimally.

Yes, a reliable internet connection is important. It allows us to monitor your system's performance and make sure everything is running smoothly.

Just let us know! We'll coordinate the temporary removal and reinstallation of the system. You'll be responsible for the cost of this removal and reinstallation.

Yes. Parts and equipment availability change, and we may substitute comparable materials as needed.

No, there will be no lien against your house*. There will be a filing (called a UCC-1) that shows Apollo owns the solar equipment*, but it doesn't affect your home's title. We also file a Consensual Lien against the system itself, which is separate and expires after 5 years.

You'll still need your regular homeowner's insurance. And, in Florida, if your system is a certain size (11.76 kW DC or larger), you'll need to have general liability insurance. Apollo insures the system itself against damage.

You have options! You can transfer the lease to the new homeowner (if they qualify), purchase the system from us, or prepay the remaining lease payments.

No, you can't make any modifications without our written permission. This could void the warranty.

Yes! You can purchase the system at its fair market value at the end of the lease, if you sell your house (after 5 years), or if Apollo ever stops operating. You can also purchase the system anytime after 5 years.

While the battery can provide backup power, we can't guarantee it will work in every outage. It's important not to rely on it for critical medical equipment.

Yes, with your system, we can use the stored energy to help support the electrical grid and potentially lower your energy costs.

You have 7 business days to cancel the agreement without any penalty.

Florida law has specific procedures for addressing construction defect claims. We're committed to resolving any issues fairly and according to legal requirements.
